General Summary:
Manage and maximize the sales and profit opportunities of the company’s products and services to strategic customers in selected strategic segments of the market. Develop and maintain a high degree of professionalism, customer support, sales skills and techniques. Plan and execute the goals and activities of a specific territory to satisfactorily contribute to the plan of PracticeWorks in strategic market segments.
Major Responsibilities:
• Achieve and surpass established monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals while aggressively seeking new customers through formulating and following planned sales strategies that will ensure optimum sales penetration in an assigned territory.
• Develop and maintain database on all accounts in territory using criteria established by PracticeWorks and develop prospect contacts using this database.
• Provide demonstration, required technical and support information of company products and assist the prospect to maximize the return on their investment by building a comprehensive needs analysis and solution to satisfy those needs.
• Prepare complex price quotes requiring detailed knowledge of company marketing position.
• Prepare sales reports, forecasts and related administrative documentation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• Communications and analytical skills equivalent to those obtained through receipt of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Two (2) years sales experience in a field sales position.
• Knowledge of company functions, product capabilities, service options, production and marketing policies, as would normally be obtained through several years of related experience or similar experience with another company.
• Thorough knowledge of the dental industry.
• Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
