Position Description:

Ongoing need for Account Executives in tri-state ara. Will be responsible for all activities related to the respective territory in achieving revenue and expense target/goals. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Sales Responsibilities: Achieve 100% of territory revenue and expense goals Ability to sell technology products Utilize appropriate territory demographic data and sales historical data to successfully prepare a targeted territory action plan Must maintain an accurate sales opportunity pipeline and update pipeline weekly Ability to create and customize cost proposals Create new partnerships and expand existing ones with professional organizations, local and state agencies Effectively utilize regional and corporate resources to achieve successful attainment of the territory revenue and expense goals Master product sales presentations and possess the ability to respond to customer gaps by providing Scholastic solutions Respond in a timely manner to all customer requests, thus securing a high degree of customer satisfaction Articulate the key marketing position statements for each product represented Monitor, review and direct all activities of the Scholastic Sales Representative (SSR) Coordinate activities of the SSR to ensure their activities are commensurate with territory goals Ability to mange sample expense budgets in a responsible and effective manner Meet the demands of an evolving territory and be able to respond professionally as a representative of Scholastic Participate in ad-hoc focus groups to provide product development/marketing input

Qualifications:

Must have prior educational publishing/technology sales experience 4 Year College Degree required-teaching or educational experience a plus Possess excellent communication skills Focused, discipline and has the sales skills to help “close” business Knowledge of Macintosh or PC platform with working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Word Experience with Sales Territory Management Software package a plus Field sales position, extensive travel required Scholastic Inc. is an Equal Oppportunity Employer M/F/D/V
