POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Account Executive provides direct oversight and management of accounts for an assigned Producer.  This position is responsible to handle client interface and day to day contact and will manage all aspects of placing insurance both new and renewal business for the Producer. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

 

Establish efficient and effective communication systems with the assigned Producer and manage work flow and process for other team members.Review assigned accounts and offer additional coverages as necessary to ensure risk has been adequately insured and/or offered appropriate insurance.Work with Producer to ensure contact with current clients at least twice a year via phone or in person meeting to discuss current and additional needs and to maintain strong client relations.Review all submissions and applications to determine proper marketing as well as review prior to submission to insurance companies for accuracy of submission.Send proposal and work with insured on renewal and new business to ensure that they understand their policy and the binding process is appropriately carried out.Field new business calls quickly and efficiently and ask for assistance from another Account Executive if unable to work on the client to keep the client from going to other agencies.Meet with clients as directed by Producer and work with the Account Manager regarding markets to approach for the client.Work with the Account Manager to answer client questions and to complete applications for insurance.Special projects to develop new specialties or programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

 

·         Property and Casualty Insurance license.  Brokers license preferred.

·         4 Year degree or equivalent and 5-8 years experience in the insurance industry or related area.

·         Prior experience with construction insurance and knowledge of condo, OCIP and Wrap insurance a plus.

·         Strong Knowledge of a variety of insurance concepts, practices and procedures.

·         Ability to effectively manage a team and offer strong leadership to the team.

·         Ability to work independently and use judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

·         Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn Company software program.

·         Effective oral and written communication skills using the English language.

·         Able to maintain a good working relationship with all employees and customers.
