The principal responsibilities for this position are to generate revenue from lead sources and to develop new clients in a defined region for our Panorama suite of products. OPNET’s Panorama product provides real-time performance analysis of complex applications (J2EE/.NET) by monitoring system and application metrics within each server, across all tiers.  Additional tasks include:

Prospecting, cold calling, and producing quality leads Analyzing customer needs in terms of current business objectives Presenting and articulating advanced product features, benefits, and overall product solutions Aggressively following up on leads and closing new account business.  Engaging in regular monthly and quarterly business reviews and weekly forecast activities Meeting and exceeding revenue goals on a quarterly and annual basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Here's what you should bring to the table:

BA/BS degree with 3+ years relevant outside sales experience or extensive inside sales experience within the software industry. Experience selling application or system performance management solutions for J2EE and/or .NET. Experience calling on software QA and test organizations. Strong understanding of distributed software development methodologies. Familiarity with the leading software testing solutions. Experience selling application availability and response time monitoring solutions. An ability to present effectively, and to sell, to high-level, Fortune 500 accounts. Must be motivated to have an impact on our products, our company, and the state of the art.LOCATIONS:
Any areas within Nebraska, Illinois, Minnesota (positions are home based)
