We currently have openings for A&E Project Managers to work in our Syracuse, NY office. We are looking for candidates with demonstrated experience in delivering utilities & infrastructure projects to the Industrial market sector.
Responsibilities:
Manage client relations, coordinate multi-disciplined A/E team, business development, and overall management of production work relating to studies, conceptual designs, and detailed design deliverables.Develop creative project execution strategies based on a detailed understanding of the customer’s key drivers.Work with in-house (and/or subcontracted) technical staff to develop technical solutions to address the customer’s needs and position O’Brien & Gere for the SaleDevelop a clear concise scope of work, project team assignments, budgets, and schedule for execution of the project.Manage the project to achieve budgeted profit objectives/schedule milestones while maintaining client satisfactionTrack project status via earned value assessments and proactively identify change management opportunities. Work with the Customer to adjust the authorized budget accordingly.Project close-out, lessons learned assessment, and communication of areas of improvement to the project teamPerformance appraisals for Project team members and/or direct reports.
Requirements:
BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical degree preferred) 10+ years related experience on industrial facilities expansions, upgrades, or new buildingsFamiliarity with multiple contract delivery methodologies (i.e. Desgn-Bid-Build, Design/Build)Ability to sell and obtain new business and cultivate existing client base for repeat businessStrong verbal/written communication skills and demonstrated leadership qualities
