General Purpose
Design, program, test and document software code for the creation, modification and improvement of Convia control products.

Essential Functions
° Design, code, debug and test assigned software, software improvements and software modifications in a quality manner consistent with company and departmental standards and procedures.
° Exercise good softwared engineering practices which include documentation of the code, version control, archiving of code and the development environment.
° Test designs or code under specifications and/or operational conditions.
° Prepare and evaluate system specifications.
° Develop software for new products.
° Modify software for existing products.
° Work collaboratively with team to design new products.
° Investigate and report on new technologies as needed.
° Supports customer facing organizations.
° Performs additional responsibilities as requested.

Minimum Requirements
° Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
° Five years previous programming software experience. Experience developing building or industrial control system software preferred.
° Expert level knowledge of C/C++, C#, Java, and HTML.
° Demonstrated skills in various computer technologies including client server communications.
° Highly organized and capable of managing several tasks at one time.
° Strong team member with strong self motivation who can proactively tackle engineering challenges as appropriate.
° Ability to travel 15% of the time.
° Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation and communication software and tools currently being used in the HMI office environment.
° Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
