Long Island and New Jersey openings for talented Program Managers, with experience working on complex military or aerospace programs. The Program Manager will be responsible for interface between the customer (Department of Defense, other US government, or prime contractor) and the internal organizations supporting program requirements. Will facilitate program schedules within the organization to meet technical performance, quality, and cost requirements of program. Will support bid and proposal efforts, both in costing and formal proposal generation.
· Coordinate, organize technical and programmatic reviews with the customer. Work with technical and manufacturing teams to prepare material for reviews. Conduct preliminary design review, critical design review, production readiness review, program status review, and program management reviews.
· Prepare financial reports for management review. Use the schedule and the pre-defined milestones to manage contract requirements, manage revenue, and provide estimates to complete that have a solid basis to predict profitability.
· Prepare Risk Identification and Management plans as part of each proposal submittal.
Four year technical degree is required. Broad understanding of military electronics hardware, software, and systems engineering is expected, plus at least three years experience in the position of Program Manager. Must be proficient with all MS Office tools, and should have familiarity with planning and program tracking software such as MS Project. Should have program execution experience including initial budget and schedule planning through required program reviews toward achievement of program deliverables.
