We operate on a 9/80 work schedule, all employees work 80 hrs in 9 days and have every other Friday off.
Position Summary
Establishes and implements project plans for single large or multiple small programs consistently maximizing customer satisfaction and business performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Coordinates complex cross-functional design decisions on projects with new technologies given a well-defined technical work scope.
· Establishes and executes sound project management process principles on a consistent basis while negotiating and tailoring processes to satisfy project needs.
· Coordinates with functional engineering and operations to determine project team members, assignments and responsibilities.
· Develops and maintains detailed project plans that fully communicate the state of projects to the customer and to DRS-PCT management with the help of senior personnel.
· Directs small project teams as needed to achieve goals and objectives.
· Provides or directs customer communication and obtains insights into customer needs to drive business decisions.
· Achieves high level of productivity and quality of work within project team. Prioritizes assignments on multiple tasks.
· Trains, mentors and appraises project team members.
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering. Master´s Degree in Engineering or MBA preferred.
· 5 years project management experience with highly engineered products.
· Knowledge or experience of Automation, Drives and/or Motor Control equipment or related industry experience. Military or Navy experience with products highly desirable.
· United States Citizenship, required.
Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge
· Broad technical understanding of Automation, Drives and/or Motor Control systems and platforms to support customer needs and increase sales opportunities.
· Knowledge of project cost accounting forecast planning and profit planning.
· Knowledge of government contracting regulations and procedures.
· 5 years of project management experience including managing highly engineered product development.
· Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
