SUMMARY This role serves as a key point of contact for leaders in the business unit on people related matters. Responsible for understanding all firmwide people services provided to the business unit and ensuring those services are well coordinated leveraging other people services resources as needed to support the business unit needs. This position is responsible for managing the annual people processes as well as development and execution of priority projects and initiatives related to continued growth, development and engagement of the people. This role requires an individual to continuously consult with the management teams of both groups to assess needs and priorities and to develop and drive people strategies and plans that align to business unit and firm goals. This individual brings thought leadership and is able to think strategically. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ownership of the execution of various compensation and talent development processes, including: - Annual compensation adjustments - Recognition awards - Success sharing bonuses - Performance management, career development, coaching and mentoring - Leadership Identification - Promotions Supports execution of Firmwide Initiatives such as the annual personnel survey and inclusiveness efforts Implementation of various elements of the firmwide orientation/onboarding/integration processes and programs Manage employee relations issues in collaboration with firmwide HR team Work with firmwide learning team to ensure compliance with various training and development requirements and business unit goals Direct or perform other tasks and special projects as required or assigned by the Operating or Managing Executive KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES 5 to 7 years relevant experience in people focused and process focused roles Proven project management skills High level communication skills both verbal and written The ability to think broadly and develop organizational awareness quickly Flexible, agile and able to manage within ambiguity as necessary Exceptional, outgoing interpersonal skills plus strong organizational skills to lead and/or manage multiple priorities Strong aptitude related to Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Financial aptitude necessary Experience in a professional services firm environment a plus College degree required EOE M/F/D/V
