A Chattanooga, TN-based client of ours is searching for a candidate to fulfill the role of .NET/Database Developer. In this role, you'll be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of back-end architecture including data access layer and databases, focusing on scalability, availability, and performance. The successful candidate will be well-versed in all aspects of the development lifecycle (specifically Microsoft’s .NET framework 2.0 or above, specifically data access layers using ADO.NET); possess strong knowledge of relational database modeling principles and techniques and have significant experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 including SQL Reporting Services.

Qualifications :
To qualify for consideration for this position, you must meet or exceed the following:

A 4-year degree, preferably in Computer Sciences or Information Technology or equivalent, related work experience. 5+ years experience in relational database design and development (logical and physical), performance tuning, data analysis, security, reporting, debugging. Expert level knowledge of T-SQL along with strong administrative knowledge of SQL Server 2005 or above, including backup and recovery processes, SQL Server Reporting Services, database mirroring, log shipping, clustering, replication. Strong knowledge of Microsoft’s .NET framework 2.0 or above, specifically data access layers using ADO.NET. Ability to translate functional specifications into detailed written technical specifications and unit test plans Experience using version control tools to support database development and Visual Studio Team System is sought. Strong knowledge of n-tiered web architectures and Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) Demonstrable grasp of design and development principles, following software development standards, knowledge and application of design patterns and writing documentation. Experience with software development lifecycle and Agile principles along with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Microsoft certifications area plus (e.g., MDAC, MCSD). Knowledge of and interest in the e-Commerce sector.
