<P>Our Federal Practice is currently seeking skilled and experienced .NET Architects with a strong background in professional consulting, SOA design, software development lifecycle, technical implementation and oversight and in-depth experience with integration implementations.</P>
<P>Individuals will be responsible for working with large government/private clients as a part of the AIS team working in the DC Metro area. </P>

<P>The Technical Architect will be responsible for designing custom applications utilizing the Microsoft platform. Additionally, the Technical Architect will be responsible for the following:</P>
<UL>
<LI>Lead project design and define overall solution architecture.
<LI>Develop design artifacts for .NET based solutions using Object-Oriented Analysis & Design techniques and UML notations and tools.
<LI>Demonstrate sound understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture principles and Best Practices in solution architecture and design.
<LI>Manage small to mid size projects and mentor developers.
<LI>Write application code following project design and architecture.
<LI>Unit test and document code.
<LI>Write SQL queries, stored procedures and triggers for SQL Server 2000 and 2005.
<LI>Assist client with scalability, performance and reliability enhancements.
<LI>Be a principal author of or contributor to RFC/proposals.
<LI>Continue to demonstrate a willingness to learn - participate in user groups, register for web casts.
<LI>Possess a demonstrated ability to conduct in architecture/framework reviews.
<LI>Understand and apply project methodologies such as RUP and MSF.</LI></UL>
<P>The Technical Architect should have strong object-oriented, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills and be very detail-oriented. Also, must possess excellent writing and communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.</P>
<P>Required Skills:</P>
<UL>
<LI>10+ years of experience designing and building distributed object-oriented application development solutions with a proven track record of delivering high quality, high impact solutions on aggressive time schedules.
<LI>5+ years in custom application architecture and SOA as well as expertise with the software lifecycle, Object-Oriented Analysis & Design.
<LI>3+ years of core .NET development experience (preferably with C#); in-depth experience with the .NET Framework, Visual Studio.NET (2003 & 2005), ASP.NET and VB.NET.
<LI>Experience with SQL Server 2000 & 2005.
<LI>In-depth understanding of Windows SharePoint Services and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007.
<LI>Experience using Web Services.
<LI>Strong problem solving skills and a creative mind, able to come up with solutions to various technical and business problems.
<LI>Ability to convey architecture/design using modeling languages such as UML.
<LI>Thorough understanding of, and ability to apply, common design patterns.
<LI>Experience with XML manipulation, validation, and navigation.
<LI>Experience with analysis and creating design documentation.
<LI>Excellent communication and client facing skills. </LI></UL>
<P>Desired Skills:</P>
<UL>
<LI>Experience with SCRUM or other Agile Processes.
<LI>Experience with Test Driven Development is a plus.
<LI>Any experience with InfoPath, Biztalk (2004 or 2006), Team Foundation Server, Commerce Server, LINQ, Silverlight, JavaScript, AJAX, and any type of Workflow development (K2.NET, WF or others) is a plus.
<LI>MCSD/MCPD/MCAD a plus.
<LI>Desire to blog or present and speak publically or internally on your favorite technical topics.</LI></UL>
