Primary Objective:  Provides interior design advice, tile and stone selection advice/support ensuring the completion of selection/sale.  Also maintains product samples and displays.

 

Qualifications:

At least a two year interior design focused degree at a college or a design instituteTwo or more years interior design, customer service, ceramic tile, and stoneAutoCADAbility to read blueprints and plansAbility to lift up to 50 pounds

 

Major Functions: 

 

Provides interior design advice, tile and stone selection advice and support ensuring the completion of selection/sales for customers, designers and clients. Creates and maintains tile and stone displays, creates merchandising/marketing programs, manages samples supply and distribution. Executes daily office tasks and office administration. Executes shipping and receiving activities for samples, merchandise and displays.Transporting samples from Sample Room to Showroom Floor Uses PC system options for SSC Business.  Serves as contact person for online system issues, MP issues, or credit card machine issues.  Contacts help desk or appropriate agent for problem resolution. Executes drawings and projects in AutoCad-Project Management.May assume SSC Manager role in absence of manager. Serves as resource for other associates.Leads gallery tours for visitors and guests of Dal-Tile.Performs inventory stock checks as needed.Performs other duties as required.

 

This position requires that the Design Consultant be able to work on Saturdays as well.
